The Nissan Skyline HR32 GTS4 DOHC (Double
Over-Head Cam) RB20DET engine is designed very
well from the factory with no real inherent
problems.
There are always
improvements able to be made to any head though,
and this one has had extensive porting to the
exhaust and intake ports and bowls as well as a 3
angle valve job and new guides etc. The valves are
still standard though. The Cam Gears have been
re-engineered though.
The
standard Cam Gears have been modified to be able
to be adjusted .
The center of the
standard gear has been precision machined out by a
CNC machine
Exacting tolerances are required to be able to
integrate the High Quality Aluminium adjustable
centre section.
The advantage of
these gears is the original steel teeth are able
to withstand constant RPM without wear.
THe
provision for adjustment gives the option of
tuning for power at a certain RPM range.
