not loud enough to draw unwanted attention, or
drive me crazy on trips. |
MID2003 - The Standard
Exhaust Manifold was port matched and the standard
dump pipe shown was later modified as shown below.
Eventual
FINAL (JAN2005) new 3" custom dump to new HiFlow
CAT at bottom of page. |

This is one very
ordinary looking turbo exducer and wastegate flap
valve. |
Unfortunately this
mod was not able to be tested on its own merits as
it was done along with a new hiflow turbo, but I
am sure it made some slight improvement. |

The
quality of the welding on the end of the flange
was extremely poor and I was not sure if it could
be rectified but TURBINE came to the rescue and
extensively ported it and rewelded it to ensure a
good seal and excellent gas flow. |
Later replaced
with this custom 3" dump pipe to new high flow
CAT. |

The original
Nissan dump was not too bad but had a restriction
before the CAT where the flange was reducing the
diameter. The CAT back 3" exhaust was suffering
from this reduced flow and not being able to give
its best. |
The 3" Dump is a
considerable improvement. |
