The Nissan Silvia S15 was produced in Japan in 1999,
with 250 hp (184 kW) from the trustworthy
SR20DET engine.
The S15 had a turbocharger upgrade, including uprated engine ECU management
from the previous model S14.
The S15 Silvia featured much more
aggressive styling than the previous model as well as
upgrades to the chassis and suspension, including light
alloy components.
A new six-speed manual transmission in addition to a
5-speed manual transmission and a four-speed automatic
driving a more effective helical limited slip unit instead
of a viscous limited slip differential.
