Steve's VL
Hi,
In regards to the information on your site:
"In Australia there was also an RB30DET powering a GM Holden VL model
that
had to be detuned to reduce power so the V8 model would help the GM
advertising agency to sell as the top of class."
The RB30DET never came out in the VL, only RB30E and RB30ET.
However
the RB30DET is a common upgrade for the RB30ET using the twin cam head from an
RB25 or 26
The RB30DET was never a factory fitted engine, its a hybrid engine.
I have attached a pic of my RB30ET which is in a 1987 VL Calais turbo.
Cheers, Steve
