Ford (Germany) also made some cars for North America under the Merkur badge. Two models were produced a Scorpio, and the XR4Ti, which is similar to the Euro. Sierra. I own an 87 Merkur Xr4Ti it has a 2.3L EFI with a T03 turbocharger made by Garret. Stock numbers run at 177hp, 200 ft lbs torque running 15psi boost(5speed) and 0-100kph of about 7.5s. With the addition of a decent exhaust, intercooler, and K&N air filter, boost can be adjusted to 18psi and hp is upped to over 200.
