The lone DSM in Australia, privately
imported by a US airline pilot headhunted during the great airline strike in Australia, a
few years ago.
The very interesting thing about this car and owner is that he says he had
permission from Bob Hawke the Australian Prime Minister at the time to bring it in and
drive it on our roads with the original USA registration plates. I met him at an
Ansett BBQ where I took the photo's and first learned about the DSM automobiles.
Unfortunately the car was not a turbo model so I was not so interested as I might have
been.
