I saw your URL listed on the Shelby Dodge mailing list. You are probably
about to get flooded with requests to be included on the page, since you
don't have a listing for Carroll Shelby's lesser-known creations, his FWD
2.2 Liter cars. I own an 86 GLHS, number 227 of 500 built. You also don't
have anything about Turbocharged Dodges, which include the Turbo I, Turbo
II, Turbo III, and Turbo IV engines. Our mailing list has a couple hundred
members, with probably thousands of turbocars (they're rather inexpensive
in the US, so many members have multiple vehicles),

The other link you might want to include is for the GMC sport trucks, the
Syclone and the Typhoon. Car and Driver tested a Syclone, and got 0-60 in
4.6 seconds. In the rain (the trucks are AWD), the time dropped to 4.3
seconds, since the rain got the intercooler working better. This was in a
3600 pound truck with an off-the-shelf body. You may want to check out
www.syty.org and www.sportmachines.com for more specifics on these
vehicles.

Thanks for your attention.

Found your site from the US, and I'm curious..

Are there no Dodge Shelby or Chrysler turbo's in your country? There's an
extremely loyal following here in the US, but I see no mention of them in
your web pages. Just wondering if none made it to your shores.

Unfortunately No, closest we got was the Mitsubishi Starion 4G63 2.0L Turbo

I've attached a picture of my Daytona for identification

My name is Dan Beatty. I own an '85 Dodge Shelby Charger, it has a 2.2L 4
CYL Turbo which originally made 146 HP but will soon enjoy 235 HP. Anyway, I
just finished viewing your excellent web page. It has A LOT of great
information. I have learned about cars I didn't even know existed
manufactured by companies that I have heard of. Your page also has fantastic
basic information on the way a Turbo works, the best I have seen! Keep up
the good work.

I would like to give you some information about our chrysler turbos here in
the states. Supposedly Chrysler has placed more turbos into more cars than
any other company and in a variety of different vehicles including minivans.
A small list of cars and their performance numbers I can give you. This list
contains as follows: Dodge Shelby Charger, Shelby GLH, Shelby GLHS, Dodge
Daytona (Turbo/Pacifica/Shelby/IROC r/t), Lancer Shelby, Dodge 600ES Turbo,
Shelby CSX, Dodge Spirit (Turbo/Turbo r/t), and Dodge Shadow Turbo. There
were many more than this but this is all I have performance and production
numbers for. Most of these vehicles ranged in power from 146 HP to 224 HP
from the factory, and performance values from 0-60: 6.0 secs- 9.0 secs and
1/4 mile times of 14.9- 16.2 secs. I know this is in U.S. Standard and not
metric but one of us could convert the numbers.

Also some other information I can give you is some Web Pages about Dodge
Shelby Turbo Vehicles. I belong to a mail list which discusses these cars in
depth. The Web Page for this list is
http://pw1.netcom.com/~jbarnett/sdml/sdml.html
(the 1 in "pw1" is the number one, all the other l are the letter L).

I also belong to the Midwest Shelby Dodge Club whose web site is:
http://www.shelbydodge.org

Other web sites, for chrysler turbos are:
http://pw1.netcom.com/~jbarnett/jeff.html (again only the 1 in "pw1" is #1)
http://www.trader.com/users/5010/2586/
http://www.xmission.com:80/~dempsey/

I hope this helps for your web site and if you would like any of the
information on the cars listed above just ask, if I can't help you I know a
bunch of others who would be able to.

Again great web site.

I recently found your URL and wanted to point you in the direction of my
website for all things Shelby.

About 10 years (has it been that long) I used to live in Alice Springs.
I am currently trying to go back there. So have a cider for me!  Cheers Mate!
