EVOlution champion rally cars have all been
powered by the one basic engine family model
from the very start of Mitsubishi's ralliart
career.
The awesome
4G63BT,
a Turbocharged four cylinder inline 1997cc
powerhouse. Commencing back in the Lancer
2000 and progressing through some of
Mitsubishi's greatest track and rally cars
such as the Starion and VR4 Lancer. With
some revisions it continued to find favor in
the newer EVO line and also in the US
produced DSM range.
Although
Mitsubishi has produced many different engines
in most configurations, the small inline 4
cylinder 4G63BT Two litre turbo terror has
taken the podium more than any other.
