I have
always been a GM - Holden fan, but
these have been done to death so I started
looking around for something a bit
different. After considering a few
different cars I came up with the
Starion, so I got on the internet
and within a couple of minutes I found
this example on an auction site, the
next day after a close finish and NZ
$990.00 it was mine.
It is an
eighty two model imported second hand to
NZ in 1990 the engine is a two litre
with a hole where the turbo used to
live, it has an auto box, digital dash
and trip computer.
The car
came with a set of 17" Volks
Racing alloys, uprated suspension and a
two and a half inch exhaust with a four
and a half inch stainless rear muffler.
I have
since sourced a turbo ($85.00), renewed
the radiator and hoses, plugs, HT
leads etc.
Future
mods will include fitting an
intercooler, manual box, induction mods
and a new interior.
The first
of the attached pictures has been
digitally altered as an exercise as to
what I am considering doing to gain more
airflow for the impending intercooler.
I have also removed the side indicator
repeater lights.
