There were many and various
makes and models of turbo's on display at the first meeting point of the
Melbourne Car Cruise Register's run to aid the Royal Children's Hospital
Donation Appeal at the end of March 2002 on Easter holiday Friday Night.
The
weather was OK and the turnout was varied. As it was all in aid of the
Royal Children's Hospital everyone was happy to contribute..
Some
not so usual grey imports were in attendance such as this nice Mazda GTR.
This Rally Bred weapon was Mazda's answer to the Lancia Integrale and
the Nissan GTiR AWD Turbo Fours that were contesting the World Rally
Championship quite a few years ago.
This
white Mazda GTX with extensive modifications was said by the owner to do
into the twelves over the Quarter Mile!
.The
usual brigade of GM Holden Commodores were on hand to keep the
turbo's honest. Though I did see a Ford TX5 AWD take a V8 Commodore at
the lights from one of the many intersection dragoffs!
Even
had the class of a Ferrari adding to the event!
Very
clean and WHITE Mazda RX7 Single turbo looked the part.
